Welcome

to Studio Two Ceramics, a name chosen many years ago to define myself as a studio ceramicist. I design and sculpt my work from home with the help of my husband Pete and have become well known for the method I use to create hairy looking animals and simple elegant figures. I enjoy the hands on process of working with clay directly so that each piece I create is unique with it's own quirks and characteristics. Unlike mass produced editions of perfectly smooth mould made ceramics, My work is hand hewn with that lovely individual quality which makes each sculpture very special and collectable.

All the work featured on this website is exclusively designed and hand sculpted by Veronica aided by husband Pete who refers to himself as the 'tea boy'. Every piece is modelled from stoneware clay and though impressionistic in style, great attention is paid to the quality of fine sculpting, detail and finish. The work is allowed to dry naurally before being bisc. fired in a kiln. After cooling, each piece is carefully and skilfully handpainted with glaze using attractive earthy colours before being fired in the kiln for a second time to achieve the lovely natural effect of the finished item.
No two pieces will ever be identical, which ever one you fall in love with will be special to you, having it's own unique qualities and charm.
